The “Into the Landscape” project aims to enhance the experience of the landscape by adding works of art to it. Eight different “viewing stones” have been placed in the landscape, on locations related to stories of eight different local female figures. Sculptors from the area have given their artistic interpretation of the stories and decorated the viewing stones. The viewing stones frame a specific view of the landscape, a view related to the story on the given location.

One viewing stone is located in Åmotsdal, three in Flatdal and four in Seljord. 

The eight sculptors are: Ellen Grøstad Barstad, Trygve Barstad, Ingrid Lene Langedok, Knut Hølje Odden, Kristine Brodersen, Gunnar Torvund, Torhild Grøstad and Philipp Dommen.
